today’s music

Today’s music was the pre-dawn silence of rain turning into the season’s gentle first snow.

Its rhythm was felt yesterday in the hard frost glinting brilliantly on the morning cornstalks, not yet harvested.

Tonight it rang out clearly – from the cloudy puddled reflections in the valleys, to the chilly misted hills above.

There are many different kinds of music. The harmonies of seasonal transition are some of the finest.
