100 + 1

Last week World of Music marked its 100th show by revisiting some of the defining sounds of the last 2+1/2 years.

We’ll continue that journey this week with program #101, including more highlights from Vermont’s Cumbancha recording label; Madagascar’s master of the tubular bamboo zither, Rajery; the bluesy grooves of Western Saharan nomads Tiris; and the hard funk of Mojarra Electrica, one of Colombia’s top groups.

World of Music is a groovy, jamming mix of blues, jazz, poetry, and world music every Monday from 3-5pm ET on the Radiator.  Online, or at 105.9FM if you’re listening in Burlington, VT.
