Go ahead, try it: type Guagua into Google. You’ll soon find that Guagua is a kind of minibus, popular especially in South American countries for public transportation.
Guagua is also Vermont’ premiere tropicália band. Last night, with an azure wash of groovy percussion and electric guitar and keyboard instrumentals, Guagua played to a dancing crowd among the stacks at the Huntington Library. The generous set included several selections from their brand new third album – Tres (get it?).
Stay tuned here for news about when they might be doing a live performance on World of Music – this spring, I hope.
