this and that

Ever have one of those dinners made up of a little of last night’s spaghetti, the one remaining kabob from a recent outing with the grill, the last of the lettuce from the bottom bin, and the little bit of cheese left over from the large block it used to be?

No, me either.

Riiiiiiight.

This week’s World of Music is a little dash of this, a smattering of that, and a good sampling of whatever is left over from recent acquisition adventures. April is National Poetry Month and National Jazz Appreciation Month, so we’ll hear from Eddie Jefferson, who brings together both ideas as well as anyone I know. We’ll find out where Sierra Leone’s Refugee All-Stars are playing in the area this week, and listen to the latest collaboration between Indian slide guitar master Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, and Counting Crows guitarist Matt Malley.

World of Music is a serving sized-portion of blues, poetry, jazz, and world music every Monday from 3-5pm ET on the Radiator.  Online, or at 105.9FM if you’re listening in Burlington, VT.
