in the news

The past few days have been interesting ones on the global news front. Among the headlines: devastating, historic floods have affected hundreds of thousands of people in Pakistan; Haitian singer Wyclef Jean has announced he’s running for President of his country; and Ivory Coast is celebrating 50 years of independence from France.

This week’s World of Music features music from all of these regions, along with the newest release from Jamaica’s dub king Lee “Scratch” Perry and music from Bali, Morocco, and Ethiopia.

World of Music is a newsworthy blend of blues, poetry, jazz, and international music every Monday from 3-5pm ET on the Radiator. Online, or at 105.9FM if you’re listening in Burlington, VT.
