cajun, jam & desert blues

Amede Ardoin is called the “father of Cajun and Creole music” – this week’s World of Music features a new anthology of his recordings, 1929-1934.

And it’s summer festival time in a big way around the region, we’ll hear from a number of the acts coming to the area: the Fishtank Ensemble, Rupa & The April Fishes, and Bombino.

You want hot? We have hot with new releases from Mali, Brazil, South Africa, Venezuela and Cuba.

World of Music is a sizzling sampling of international music every Monday from 3-5pm ET on the Radiator.  Online, or at 105.9FM if you’re listening in Burlington, VT.
